Last year, I was asked by V. Faemana, founder of La Escuela Estrella Esmeralda, to contribute a piece for her upcoming ebook, Edible Flowers For The Soul, or Flores Comestibles Para El Alma in Spanish. It is an homage to some of the most amazing creations by Mother Nature: edible flowers.
I met Faemana a few years ago when we were both presenters for Botanica Obscura, and she is an amazing teacher in plant medicine and occult botany, as well as a beautiful singer and musical artist. She has been gathering authors, artists, and wise individuals from around the world, curating collections of works that aim not only to share knowledge that may be useful to the readers, but also to provide spaces for expansion and visibility for the work and experience of the collaborators. Faemana’s vision is to create networks, and to weave bridges and connections.
Contributing to this anthology are Abuela Teresa Contreras, Daniela Luna from Spagyral, my fellow Fancy AF… guest Debora Greer, Estela of La Bruixa Verda, Maestro Luis de la Fuente of Rose Healing Mexico, Maggie Rivera, Micah Abraxas Nilson from Al-Kemi, Natalia SaldaΓ±a from Solitude of Alanna, Linda Lustre, Yesica Pineda, Faemana herself, and yours truly.
The ebook is in both Spanish and English (starts at page 97), and you can read it here. You can toggle the reader to single page and/or full screen for better readability. Note: The ebook is a PDF with a fairly large file size. It will take a few minutes to load and/or download.
