Lunar-Eclipse-2026

Solar and Lunar Eclipse Messages – 2026.08.27

My trip to Alaska at the beginning of the moon circle totally threw me off my schedule of posting monthly tarot pull… But I did do one, right around the time of solar eclipse. Here is the month’s outlook, influenced by the solar eclipse:

  • Solar-Eclipse-2026-Reading-Reveal

My interpretation of this card pull is this eclipse season calls for the need to tune out the outside noise and turn inward (The Hermit), because there are lots of emotions going around (Eight of Vessels) and there is an eagerness to start something new or to face a new challenge (The Fool). There is a reminder that we also have a lunar eclipse in this moon cycle (The Moon), and be aware of conflicts or challenges that might hang around for a bit (Four of Blades). But these conflicts and challenges will come to an end , or getting close to the end (Nine of Blades); we just need to bare with it a little longer.

There was actually a jumper in this reading — Knight of Blades. There were also a lot of blades in this reading. The suit of blades (swords) a lot of time represent conflicts, challenges and suffering. But through challenges and suffering we gain knowledge and wisdom.

I also did a card pull during the lunar eclipse as a mid-month check-in. I used one of my favorite decks, an vintage version of the good ol’ Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) Tarot.

The energy of the eclipses has been keeping us busy, on top of the energy of the Ghost Month (Seven of Cups)… We might be feeling a lack of resources, especially the tangible kind (Five of Pentacles), but it’s really about balancing what we have and setting priorities (Two of Pentacles). We are asked to take advantage of the eclipse energy to continue to alchemize (Temperance), turning challenges into lessons, conflicts into learning. And don’t forget to put in efforts — we must do the (inner) work in order to see results (Eight of Pentacles). The closing of the eclipse season also marks the end of an era — Chiron is finally leaving Aries and moving into Taurus for the first time since 1984. Chiron in Taurus illuminates deep-seated fears of scarcity and inadequacy (remember that Five of Pentacles?), challenging individuals to dismantle the belief that worth must be earned through external achievements or possessions. That’s the finishing spirit of this moon cycle — leaving the chaos of doubting one’s self worth to begin the healing process, and restore a healthy relationship with the material world, the body, and personal resources (Six of Swords).
