If you want to plant something for bees and other pollinators, Anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) is a great option! It’s a low maintenance perennial hardy in zones 3-8. Drought and deer resistant, and its pretty purple flowers look great in herb gardens or as ornamental. It’s also a fragrant herb with various medicinal and culinary uses, and is a favorite of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds (yes, I have seen hummingbirds visiting my giant anise hyssop patch!)
