Do y’all watch K-drama? I’m not exactly a huge fan, but I do like a good show. And I’m surprised how much I enjoyed The Glory (you can find it on Netflix).
The show originally piqued my interest with its premise — a person plotting her revenge against some really awful people after a series of traumatic events. But what got me really excited was how datura (and brugmansia) made her appearance about 5 minutes into the first episode. I was hoping the flower would play some sort of role in the plot, and I think in a very, very subtle way, she did (as you can see in the show’s promotional posters). It was a symbol of sorts for sure.
I won’t give away any more details or plot points, but if you love a good drama to binge on, I highly recommend this show. And if you have seen the show, I’d love to hear what you think, especially if you have any impression or thoughts on datura’s role in the show.
