I’m in Romania, went on a ghost tour around Bucharest old town, learning about creepy local legends, ghost stories, tales of a serial killer, Romanian witchcraft, funerary customs and practices, and of course, strigoi (Romanian for “vampire”).
When we got back to our hotel room and started packing up, the lights of our room went dark completely! It wasn’t because of any building-wide loss of power; a hotel staff came to check the fuses and nothing was wrong. Basically there was no fixing it so we moved to a different room.
So I’m now left to wonder what really happened… Did we bring bad juju back with us from the ghost tour? Or were we cursed by the owner of the antique shop where we didn’t buy that expensive crucifix pendant?
Anyways, off to Transylvania to see Vlad the Impaler…
